The Khalifah Institute is established in 2004, under the trustees of Khalifah Institute. It is a non-profit Islamic charitable trust founded by Prof Dr Muhammad Al'Mahdi Jenkins. Prof. Dr. Muhammad al’ Mahdi spent almost 14 years as a full time university student in the USA, concluding 3 Ph.D. programs, in child, clinical, & experimental psychology. He was an Assistant Professor of Child/Clinical psychology in USA. He worked for the US government Office of Child Development as a research director in children’s values education, and was a Chief Psychologist for Head Start (a nationwide federal early child development program in the U.S).
Prof. devoted his last days to training others in the knowledge & techniques he acquired during his lifetime. He was for over half of his life an atheist, convinced by the materialist science he knew so well that God did not exist. After he came to understand the non-materialist science of Einstein, he realized that if he wanted to be honest as a scientist he had to accept that scientific data now very powerfully proclaimed that God did exist. It was his study of theoretical physics which changed him from a non-believer into a believer in God & it was the perfection of the revealed truth of Islam in the Qur’an & the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad saw that resulted in him becoming a Muslim..
